Dr Kachwalla graduated from Grant Medical College in 1990 at the University of Bombay, India and underwent his Cardiology training at Liverpool Hospital, Sydney.

Dr Kachwalla has dual fellowship training in Echocardiography and Interventional Cardiology and has a special interest in interventional cardiology, echocardiography and heart failure.

He is a Senior staff specialist at Campbelltown & Liverpool Hospitals and is the Director of Cardiac Interventional Services at Campbelltown Hospital. He is also a VMO in Sydney South West Private and Campbelltown Private. 

Dr Kachwalla is a Senior lecturer in Western Sydney University. He is involved with regular student teaching, assessment and examination. He is also involved with Junior and Senior medical staff teaching and supervision.
